It was another great weekend at Calvary. You have done a great job inviting people and the last two Sundays we’ve had incredible crowds and scores of first time guests! Sunday I taught from Hebrews 11 and this week in our Life Groups we’re talking about how faith involves taking a risk.

We gather today in the dark hour of our grief. Two good men are down. Two good men are gone. Our community is forever scarred and for two families here today, the world is forever changed by what happened on a Monday morning in St. Petersburg.

Calvary mourns the loss of St. Petersburg police officer and church member Jeffrey Yaslowitz who along with another colleague was slain in the line of duty this morning. We are praying for his wife and 3 young children.

We’re off and running in our It Happened to Me campaign at Calvary. Sunday was a great day and what a powerful testimony from Coach Greg Thiel.
